About the opportunity:

Position: Nursing Director / Program Manager

Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary full-time, 23/06/2025 upto 29/03/2026 with possible extension not exceeding 12 months.

Location: Townsville University Hospital

The Nursing Director/Program Manager works in collaboration with the Medical Director of MHSG, relevant Clinical Directors and the other Nursing Director within the Service Group to assist and provide service direction, service coordination and maintain clinical standards and patient safety to ensure effective use of human and material resources within THHS Services Agreement.

  • Salary range: $7358.30 p.f. (Nurse Grade 12)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:

  • Mandatory: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a required qualification for this position.
  • Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
    • Credentialed status with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) is a requirement of this role.
    • Appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2000 or the willingness to undertake and complete the requirements for appointment.
  • On call: Appointees will be required to participate in an on-call roster.
  • Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
