In this role, you will manage emergent industrial matters (including the prevention of potential disputes), leads and manages key projects, and plays a lead role in award maintenance and enterprise bargaining processes, including negotiation and implementation. This role is based in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce team, which has responsibility for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce (Queensland Health) Certified Agreement (No. 2) 2023 (HWF EB2).
What you'll do
- Participate as a member of a high performance, collaborative team in the provision of authoritative human resource and employee relations advisory and support services, including critical and sensitive advice on issues of a significant or complex nature impacting the Queensland health workforce to senior executive and managerial stakeholders state wide.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholder groups, including Queensland Government departments, senior executives, managers and unions.
- Provide high level participation in enterprise bargaining processes, including preparation for negotiations, advocacy in conciliation and arbitration proceedings before the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission and implementation of enterprise bargaining outcomes.
- Identify and respond to new and emerging human resource and industrial relations issues and advise on the longer term implications.
- Manage key emergent projects and initiatives impacting the Queensland Health workforce, including providing high level support in the implementation of whole of government human resource and industrial relations policy and initiatives.
About you
We are searching for someone with:
- Demonstrated ability to play a lead role in enterprise bargaining processes including day- to-day negotiations and conciliation or arbitration hearings in the Queensland Industrial Relations
- High level skills in the preparation and management of all aspects of industrial disputes, demonstrated through advocacy, and negotiation skills, and an in-depth knowledge of Queensland Industrial Relations Commission rules and
- Demonstrated record of achievement in providing high level advisory and support services to senior stakeholders on a range of human resource and industrial relations
