Applications are sought for a dedicated Head of Special Education Services (HOSES) to join the dynamic team at Moranbah State School.

You will bring a passion for providing a comprehensive and responsive student support program to our school community, along with a strong desire to engage, connect and enhance learning outcomes for our students. You will also lead our MSS Early Childhood Development Program providing support to pre-prep students alongside our strong kindy centres within Moranbah.

This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis.

About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and Early Childhood Development Program.
  • Lead and manage the Special Education Program and Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.
  • Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
  • Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.
