The successful candidate will provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery, preferably with the ITIL framework.

How you will be assessed    
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the
responsibilities described above under ‘Key Responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

•    Demonstrated ability to develop and promote Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes based on the ITIL framework, primarily incident / problem / change / release / configuration management. (SFIA Code: ITMG 5, USUP 4; PBMG 5; CHMG 4)
•    Demonstrated technical expertise and experience in some of the following technology domains to analyse ICT system issues, and contribute to the design and implementation of appropriate solutions and improvements. (SFIA Code: SYSP 4; TECH 4, HSIN 5)
o    Network Firewalls; e.g. Checkpoint or Cisco ASA
o    Network Security; IPS, Antivirus, Antimalware
o    Network Management; Routing, BGP, NAC
o    Load Balancing and Clustering, NAT
o    External Access, Site to Site and Dynamic VPN's, Citrix, VDI
o    Forward and Reverse Proxy configuration and implementations
o    2 Factor Authentication mechanisms, SMS, tokens, certificates and PKI
o    Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, VMWare, Azure, AWS
o    Microsoft Active Directory, Managing Internal and External DNS
•    Demonstrated ability to provide high level of technical expertise to provide technical direction, standardisation, professional advice and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focus organisation
•    Well-developed oral and written communication skills to enable effective interaction in individual and group situations and the ability to maintain relevant registers and develop reports for management. (NHS Effective and Strategic influencing - SFIA Code RLMT 4)
•    Proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders. (NHS: Collaborative Working)

Specific Working Conditions:
•    Participate in on-call arrangements may be required for this position. Appropriate remuneration under the Award will apply.
