About the Role
As the Business Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the delivery of school-wide corporate services and assist the Principal in planning, directing, and managing the school's operational resources in alignment with school objectives and priorities. Provide critical advice in addressing significant issues, offering recommendations and input that contribute to the school's strategic direction.
- Operate in a specialised environment that requires regular modification and adaptation of established systems or business plans to achieve optimal outcomes. Analyse a range of options before making informed decisions, and resolve problems within established management systems, operational standards, and budget parameters.
- Manage corporate information systems and processes within the school, adapting them as needed to ensure they reflect the school's evolving requirements. Analyse, review, and refine systems and processes in line with continuous improvement practices, assessing alternatives to ensure ongoing alignment with changing business or policy needs.
- Lead and manage human resources for school support staff, including identifying emerging talent, promoting high performance outcomes, and mentoring individuals to achieve their professional potential. Provide advice on a broad range of human resource management practices, such as employee relations, recruitment, payroll anomalies, workplace health and safety, and performance management. In collaboration with the Principal, lead change management initiatives and develop strategic solutions to complex or non-routine human resources issues.
- Experience as a Business Manager with Education Queensland, past or present, will be viewed favourably.
