Charleville State High School are seeking applications for a permanent part-time Teacher Aide to join their school community at 60 hours and 0.79 FTE per fortnight.

In this Teacher Aide role, you will help teachers and students with various tasks. You will assist with sports events, school trips, and manage teaching materials and equipment. You will also help keep accurate student records and assist with roll call. Your job will involve working well with the team, communicating clearly, and being sensitive to students with higher needs.

About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting students and teachers in classrooms, with sporting activities and with school excursions
  • Displaying respect and empathy for students will high level needs
  • Display confidentiality , tact, reliability and sensitivity to students and their families
  • Assist with management and stocktaking of equipment and resources
  • Communicate effectively and display high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effect team member
  • Assisting in the supervision of educational activities, under teacher supervision
  • Assist in preparing, storing, making available and clearing away teaching equipment and materials
  • Assisting teaching staff with playground and bus supervision
  • Assisting with science demonstrations, textile and cooking class
  • Use of computers when working with students
  • Other suitable duties, consistent with duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.
