Eventide Residential Aged Care Facility is a Queensland Health managed aged care service within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service and is located at Charters Towers.

The facility provides care for 110 residents with 26 places for dementia care, 10 places for psycho-geriatric care and 74 places for older persons who require care due to fragility and complex care needs.

Evidentide Residential Aged Care Facility are seeking experienced and client focused Registered Nurses for 5 casual position.

The Registered Nurse utilises clinical skills and knowledge whilst working in partnership with other members of the nursing team and students to provide resident focused care and assisting in the achievement of service goals.

The Facility 
Eventide Residential Aged Care Facility provides a multidisciplinary approach to care delivery with a focus on resident's rights and choices. Residents (as able), relatives, carers and other health professionals are involved in the individual care planning process and encouraged to play an active role in the decision-making process. With the introduction of the aged care nursing ratios, all nursing staff will work together to provide resident focused quality nursing care that meets the aged care quality standards and will assist in the provision of leisure and recreational activities and interactions.

  • Salary range: $52.16 to $66.91 p.h. (NG5)

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
  • Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
  • Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
  • On call: Appointees may be required to participate in an on-call roster.
  • Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.  Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
  • This is a VPD risk role and mandatory requirements must be meet.
