The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Neuropsychologist - Senior (Mental Health - Adult Inpatients) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide high level clinical neuropsychology services including neuropsychological assessment, diagnostic formulation, treatment planning and interventions to consumers with complex mental health presentations
- Display strong skills in patient advocacy and advanced knowledge and skills in assessment of patient decision making capacity
- Utilise high level clinical skills in the selection of appropriate psychometric tests and preparation of psychological reports and treatment recommendations
- Apply high level knowledge and psychological skills to conduct evidence based psychological assessment and treatment interventions for adult consumers
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Psychology
- AHPRA Registration
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary part time (60.8 hrs p.f)
- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

The Mental Health Inpatient Units provide specialist acute and medium to long-term inpatient mental health services for consumers across a continuum of care at both the Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital.
