The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Occupational Therapist - Senior (Complex Medical Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver a high level of occupational therapy clinical services in the complex management and discharge planning of a wide range of clinical areas
- Use extensive clinical experience to undertake high level, independent multi-specialty clinical duties
- Consistently demonstrate a strong understanding of the continuum of care, demonstrating maturity and expertise in decision making
- Apply professional judgement to a complex caseload, regularly adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised tertiary institution
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
- Relevant clinical experience in a tertiary hospital within rehabilitation service and/or a complex management unit environment would be highly desirable

Salary
- Permanent full time.
- Base salary ranging from $128 169 - $137 918 per annum
