Physiotherapy involves a holistic approach to the prevention, assessment and therapeutic management disorders of movement or optimisation of function to enhance the health and welfare of the community.
Central Queensland (CQ) Health offers a comprehensive physiotherapy service across the lifespan to support patients through their acute hospital admission, recovery following discharge or when accessing other specialist outpatient services. Our physiotherapists work in hospital and community facilities across Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton regions.
About the role:
The Physiotherapist Senior delivers high level Physiotherapy services of a varied nature to patients of the Rockhampton Hospital and other client groups of Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS). This position is required to exercise a high level of independence and represent Physiotherapy on relevant committees or portfolio(s).
The Physiotherapist Senior acts as a resource person by leading quality improvement, research, and service development of clinical areas consistent with CQHHS and Queensland Health State-wide initiatives and strategic directions.
About you:
- Appointment to this position requires mandatory possession of Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution and registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Whilst not mandatory, post graduate qualifications in a relevant practice area is highly desirable.
- High level of knowledge, skills, and clinical practice expertise in the delivery of physiotherapy services within the multidisciplinary paediatric team of the Child Development Service.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical training in paediatric physiotherapy services to less experienced staff members and education to students.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to consult and negotiate with clients, external stakeholders, and staff at all levels of the organisation.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $157,359 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $64.64- $69.55 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
