As the Senior HR Advisor you will:
- Work closely with the HR Manager to provide high quality, timely and accurate advice across a range of contemporary HR issues, to all staff to ensure alignment across the business with legislation, directives, policies and procedures.
- Develop and manage the workforce capability training and development program through consultation and identification of training needs across the business.
- Identify and procure training providers and coordinate training activities including room bookings, enrolments, resources, and course evaluation and reporting.
- Assist the broader business with recruitment and selection activities through the provision of advice and assistance on processes and contemporary practice.
- Provide assistance to the HR Manager in organising and implementing key activities relating to the Office's wellbeing and equity and diversity strategies.
- Coordinate and/or manage the ongoing workplace health and safety systems and processes including the Workplace Health and Safety Committee, workers compensation claims, rehabilitation and return to work programs, with a focus on positive outcomes for all.
- Manage the appointment and on-boarding activities for new staff through the preparation of appointment letters, and the delivery of onboarding programs.
- Undertake statistical analysis, surveys and reporting of HR metrics, including annual report information.
- Prepare analysis and reports on key people management metrics, monitor trends and work with the HR Manager to recommend strategies in response to identified trends.
- Contribute to the formulation, implementation and ongoing management of the Office's human resource systems, policies and practices.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, participate in committees, networking groups and actively engage with vendors and service providers.
- Proactively maintain contemporary knowledge of human resources through ongoing professional development.
- Undertake project tasks as required (Working for Queensland Survey, Strategic Workforce priorities).
You will be expected to:
- Work collaboratively with other team members, participating in meetings and training programs, and actively monitoring, reviewing and assisting with improvements to policy, procedure, process and administrative practice across the Office and stakeholder agencies.
- Work in accordance with the Office's Code of Conduct and values; workplace health and safety legislation; confidentiality policies; all other relevant policies, directives and legislation.
- Meet personal performance expectations and standards.
- Undertake other duties as directed by relevant senior officers.
