About the opportunity:
Position: Senior Clinical Lead - Clinical Nurse Consultant (Community Forensic Mental Health Service)
Vacancy: Permanent Full-time
Location: Community Forensic Mental Health Service / Mental Health Service Group / Townsville University Hospital

- Salary range: $5081.10 to $5798.90 p.f. (HP5, NG7)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
- Occupational Therapy - the successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Occupational Therapy.
- Psychology - the successful applicant must possess a four-year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution.
- Social Work - the successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Social Work as well as eligibility for full membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- While not mandatory, eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be well regarded.
- Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- Highly Desirable: Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete the requirements) with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
- Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
