Calamvale Community College is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer for a temporary, part-time position.
As a key member of our administration team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our primary and secondary college leaders by managing student attendance.

About the Role
As the Attendance Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Generate daily absenteeism reports, send SMS notifications to parents/carers, follow up with teachers, and record data in Excel and OneSchool.
- Daymap experience is highly desirable.
- Prepare and distribute the Daily Attendance Report to teaching staff and Deputy Principals; update teachers on late notifications.
- Track and document reasons for chronic absences, monitor attendance programs, and share data with relevant staff.
- Liaise with the Student Support Officer, Head of Special Education Services (HOSES), and Guidance Officer to address attendance-related concerns.
- Maintain records for students with special circumstances (e.g. independent status, living with carers, subject to legal orders).
- Monitor attendance trends to identify students at risk and support teachers in managing non-attendance.
- Engage with families of persistently absent students and support strategies to improve attendance.
- Refer at-risk students to appropriate support services to address barriers to attendance.
- Provide administrative support at the student counter, assist with timetable changes.
- Administer basic first aid to students as required.
