About the role
Fixed term temporary full-time opportunity to apply high level occupational therapy skills and knowledge in the assessment and treatment of clients in the local geographical population in order to promote, maintain and improve their health, functional ability and quality of life. The program provides short term support and active management of older people at the interface of the acute/subacute and residential aged care sectors.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Exercise independent judgement and problem-solving skills, in matters beyond routine practice with infrequent clinical practice supervision.
- Work cooperatively and effectively within the team and with clients, their families, community groups, other health professionals, supervisors and students.
- Actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality improvement activities to enhance the delivery of occupational therapy services and multidisciplinary care.
- Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols that support the continuum of care engaging cross-discipline referencing where possible.
