About the role
Provide specialist palliative medical services to patients requiring palliative care across Metro North Health (MNH) including in patient homes and ambulatory clinics. Liaise with inpatient clinical teams and hospital palliative care services to optimise care transitions and home-based care. Provide undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research, quality assurance audits and continuing education as integral to the position.
About you
- Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Provide clinical Palliative Medicine/Palliative Care to community-based patients.
- Foster clinical research activities, actively engaging in high-level multidisciplinary clinical research.
- Support clinical audit, clinical reviews (including M&M reviews) according to hospital and health service governance arrangements.
- Represent the Community Palliative Care Service on committees as requested by or with the approval of the Director of Medical Services
