Alcohol and Other Drugs Clinician

The Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs Services, are a section of the Mental Health Service Group. The services are located at the North Ward Health Campus and Vincent Health Campus. ATODS provide a range of services including intake and assessment, outpatient (ambulatory) withdrawal, opiate substitution program, Diversionary and Recovery Team, counselling and assessment for youth and adults, health promotion, needle and syringe program and culturally appropriate support and stakeholder engagement.
The service has an opportunity to join on a permanent part-time basis, working 60 hours a fortnight, as an Alcohol and Other Drugs Clinician (Psychology or Occupational Therapy or Social Work or Clinical Nurse).

About the opportunity:
Position: Alcohol and Other Drugs Clinician (Psychologist or Occupational Therapist or Social Worker or Clinical Nurse)
Vacancy: Permanent part-time, 60 hours per fortnight
Location: Townsville
About the role:
As a clinician working in the Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs Service (ATODS), you will provide a broad range drug alcohol assessments and interventions to individuals, their families and groups in the context of minimising harm from substance use within the Townsville geographical area.
Psychologist or Occupational Therapist or Social Worker
Remuneration package of up to $132,567 p.a., comprising base salary range of $79,051 - $116,189 p.a. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (HP3).
Clinical Nurse
Remuneration package of up to $132,289 p.a., comprising base salary range of $107,960 - $115,604 p.a. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1).
Requirements:
- Mandatory qualifications (Psychology or Occupational Therapy or Social Work or Nursing) and proof of registration/membership (if applicable).
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance and Blue Card Checks.
