Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with Metro North Health (MNH) clinical leads and end users to deliver the digital transformation strategy for Metro North Health. It will ultimately create an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North. In meeting this strategy significant capital works are being undertaken over the next five years that includes hospital construction/refurbishment and the implementation of ieMR Advanced solution across Metro North. Delivering this will require a dedicated team, with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains, with the knowledge, determination, skills and experience to deliver.

Digital Metro North are seeking a Manager – Technical Applications with proven experience in application support functions consistent with best practice and ITIL Methodologies. The successful applicant will oversee and enhance the technical ICT Infrastructure for Queensland Cardiac Outcomes Registry (QCOR) including database administration, application development and complex data warehousing. You will also ensure corporate data linkages and application hosting are managed effectively, while continuously improving services in line with Queensland Health policies. About the Role
Reporting to the Manager - Statewide Cardiac Clinical Informatics Unit, you will Lead the digital and information, communication and technology (ICT) application support functions for Statewide Cardiac Clinical Informatics Unit, the business team of the Queensland Cardiac Outcomes Registry (QCOR) to ensure digital and ICT applications and their supporting technology platforms are managed and supported throughout their lifecycle, service levels and that availability and quality standards are met and maintained to a very high standard to protect the integrity of the QCOR digital environment with minimal service disruption.
Key knowledge and experience
The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience in leading technical teams and projects, particularly in the healthcare or clinical quality registry domain.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
- Ability to develop effective solutions and strategies to improve registry performance and data quality.
- Additionally, candidates should have experience with the following vendor products:
- Oracle Relational Database Management System administration
- Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS)
- Oracle Apex
- ApexOfficePrint
- Tomcat
- Mirth
- Wherescape
- Develop and maintain application management and support procedures for QCOR, including release, vendor, and contract management.
- Ability to initiate and oversee the documentation of all changes to artifacts throughout the product lifecycle and store them in designated repositories.
- It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment (Health Employment Directive No. 01/16):
