About the role

  • The purpose of the Deadly Feet Administration Officer is to provide administrative support to the Deadly Feet program, including patients, community members, clinicians and other Queensland Health staff.
  • The incumbent may be required to travel across the Metro North Health catchment.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Have High-level knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, protocols, and history, as well as demonstrated experience in engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders across the Queensland Health system within the context of clinical and cultural safety, and patient-centred care.
  • Provide correspondence duties including telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries, and redirection or escalation to internal staff or other Metro North Health services where appropriate.
  • Confidently communicate with all levels of staff and clients, understanding and anticipating needs, including undertaking investigations to find and implement solutions to meet those needs whilst demonstrating a positive service focus.
  • Provide a culturally safe environment to all community members visiting clinics or in community events.
  • Collect and enter demographic, financial and clinical information into relevant digital systems, including but not limited to the Hospital-Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS), the integrated electronic medical record (ieMR), Smart Referrals Workflow Solution (SRWS), and HPOS (Health Professional Online Services, i.e. Medicare).
