We are looking for an active, dedicated and hard-working individuals to fill the positions of Schools Officer, Facilities. In this role, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the school by providing a high level of facilities care and maintenance.
We have two vacancies: the first is a permanent full-time role and the second is a temporary part-time role (0.65 FTE) until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.

About the Role:
In this role, you will perform a range of activities to ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard; follow set instructions; and have independence to perform a variety of day to day services that are routine in nature. The role also receives regular supervision when undertaking duties that are non-routine in nature.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Maintenance duties which include attending to/or arranging repairs to furniture and equipment; monitoring and maintaining school facilities (including locks, windows, lighting etc); bringing to appropriate attention any repairs required/safety hazards; basic maintenance of equipment specific to school with students with disabilities; ad-hoc electrical testing and tagging of individual pieces of equipment.
- Communicating and liaising with a wide range of personnel, students, external contractors and tradespersons in relation to damage repair and maintenance to the school facilities
- Delivering and collecting mail, parcels and documents; taking money to the bank;

This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.
