The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Physiotherapist – Advanced (Rehabilitation) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide highly specialised assessments, interventions, and clinical recommendations to rehabilitation and neurology specialists
- Contribute to strategic planning and lead initiatives to be implemented by Allied Health and Rehabilitation Services and wider HHS strategic initiatives
- Provide specialised clinical advice in the stated specialty areas, and act as a resource to other clinicians
- Support the Assistant Director of Physiotherapy in operational management of a small physiotherapy team and the rehabilitation physiotherapy service
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Physiotherapy
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary part time (6 months with the possibility of extension, 45.6 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $73.12 - $ 76.30 per hour

Rehabilitation Services include inpatient rehabilitation units and hospital in-reach rehab teams (Rehabilitation Response Team), Complex Management Unit, Community Rehabilitation Program, Amputee Clinic, Hypertonicity Clinic, and outpatient clinics at GCUH.
