The position of Health Informatics Senior Digital Education Coordinator will lead and manage the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of digital education for staff within Children’s Health Queensland. This hybrid position will ensure the efficient coordination of daily activities, effective communication with stakeholders, and seamless operation of team processes while actively delivering education courses to our CHQ HHS staff.

Role Details

  • Coordinate, develop, implement, and evaluate the delivery of clinical systems education within a complex multi-disciplinary work environment that are based on clinical workflows, practices and evidence-based practice. This includes the development and management of training strategies, training plans, training schedules / logistics, and reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of engaging training materials, targeted to the diverse educational needs of CHQ's clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design theories to learning materials and your direct teaching practices, including engaging practice activities and learning proficiencies.
  • Engage with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to plan and coordinate the execution of education activities and deliverables. Identify and form strong connections with key stakeholders / stakeholder groups to:
    1. understand their education needs
    2. anticipate potential education opportunities and issues (particularly within the constraints associated with clinical service delivery)
    3. proactively problem solve/troubleshoot issues, challenges and risks as they arise
    4. negotiate, persuade and influence to achieve agreed outcomes
  • Lead and coordinate the Health Informatics education and support team through the adoption of a mentoring-based environment that promotes team development and drives a culture of innovation with a strong focus on patient, staff and service outcomes.
  • Support the accurate and timely completion of documentation delivering quality human resources management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, work, health and safety, and ethical behaviour.
  • Representation and participation in stakeholder and education forums to ensure ongoing relevance and application to Paediatrics in digital education delivery.
  • Coordinate the development of the clinical systems content and structure of e-learning training and education initiatives to meet the implementation needs of the health service.
  • Initiate, influence and maintain effective relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders, to proactively manage needs, expectations, mitigate risks and support change.
