As the Executive Director, Veterans Queensland you will lead the team to innovatively shape strategies and policies and deliver programs to support the veterans' community within Queensland.
You will offer insightful and strategic leadership and advice, engaging with a variety of stakeholders while ensuring effective communication channels between veterans' organisations and the Queensland Government and will lead support for the Queensland Veterans’ Council, providing insightful stewardship and delivering the services necessary to support the Council’s functions and purpose.

About the Role:
In this role you will provide strategic insights and influential advice to the Director General and key stakeholders and will set strategic direction and whole of government coordination of strategic policy issues and on key program priorities and deliverables relating to veterans.
You will design and execute whole of government initiatives and programs that support the veterans' community, lead the delivery of special projects, events and activities to assist veterans and their families and facilitate pathways for veteran's groups to effectively liaise with the Queensland Government.
A key responsibility of this role will be to foster and strengthen effective relationships with key stakeholders across local, state, and federal agencies, private sector, non government organisations and a range of stakeholders from the veterans' community to deliver desired outcomes.
