An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse within the Geriatric Evaluation Management and Rehab Services. The Geriatric Evaluation Model and Rehab Services for the older person is an 8-bed branch of the Hospital in the Home Program providing high quality acute, subacute, ambulatory and community geriatric and rehabilitation service. The GEMRHITH service works to alleviate bed pressures, increase patient flow, and improve patient outcomes by delivery of care with a geriatric focus by staff, directly to the patient in the comfort of their own home.

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Actively support and lead quality improvement and research initiatives within the work unit, contributing to the use of evidence-based practice to facilitate improved patient outcomes.
- This position requires effective computer/IT skills or the ability to acquire computer/IT skills relevant to your role in a short timeframe.
- Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and ethical behaviour.
- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services, and workplaces.
Salary between $82 753 - $106 144 p.a., (f/t) or salaray rates: $41.73 - $53.53 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 5) (fixed term temporary full time and/or part time positions available, hours negotiable for 3 years).
