About us:
Gladstone Hospital provides a range of services to Gladstone and the Banana region. A new emergency department is being built which will double the department's current capacity. Our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy will see Gladstone Hospital developed as a centre for emergency care, medical inpatient, and day surgery excellence. This will optimise outreach services to deliver care closer to home in the Gladstone and Banana rural communities.
About the role:
A Nurse Grade 4, or Enrolled Nurse with Advanced Skills (ENAS), supports registered nurses and midwives in delivering holistic, person-centred care to both inpatients and outpatients, adhering to NMBA standards, legislative requirements, and relevant policies. This role demonstrates nursing competence through the provision of contemporary, evidence-based care within an interdisciplinary team environment, practicing predominantly with indirect supervision while undertaking delegated activities and maintaining individual accountability. The ENAS seeks guidance from registered professionals for complex decision-making and reports operationally and professionally to the Nurse or Midwifery Unit Manager or Director of Nurses, ensuring high standards of care and adherence to health service guidelines.
About you:
- Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A relevant advanced diploma or associate degree is highly desirable for this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe may form part of the performance and development plan.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $94,242 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $39.25 - $41.65 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
