Andergrove State School is seeking a motivated Administrative Officer to join our welcoming and supportive team.

This position is for 27 weeks, unless otherwise determined, at 60 hours per fortnight with a 0.83 FTE.

About the Role 

As the Administrative Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provide confidential, high-level administrative support, including word processing, database and spreadsheet applications, resource preparation, and the ability to produce advanced desktop-published documents using a variety of software programs.
  • Maintain effective time management practices, including coordinating and scheduling diary appointments for the Leadership Team and teaching staff.
  • Monitor and screen incoming telephone calls and correspondence, directing them to the appropriate areas as required.
  • Manage student enrolments and departures, including data entry in OneSchool.
  • Act as QParents Administrator and manage student permission forms.
  • Handle accounts receivable, including receipting, banking, and following up on late payments.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance records using ID Attend.
  • Perform other ad hoc administrative duties relevant to the role.

This position requires self-direction and effective time management in handling day-to-day operational office duties, including assistance with OneSchool Finance, student services, reception support, and general administrative tasks as needed.

Desirable skills required:

  • Experience with OneSchool is preferred; however, training can be provided
  • Proven ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a team environment
  • Demonstrated high-level communication skills
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and deliver quality outcomes
  • Professional discretion and confidentiality
  • Willingness and ability to acquire the necessary knowledge to perform the above responsibilities
