An AO7 Principal Analyst - Risk position is available in the Governance and Business Support Division of the Queensland Revenue Office. This role will be based in the Brisbane CBD.
In this role you will provide expert risk advice to business units across the organisation, support stakeholders in effectively identifying, analysing and evaluating and treating revenue risks, whilst also leading a team of analysts.

Your typical day as a Principal Analyst - Risk may include:
• Provide expert advice and support to Queensland Revenue Office business units and risk owners in identifying, analysing, evaluating and treating revenue risks, whilst leading a team of analysts to facilitate the annual compliance planning cycle to drive revenue compliance outcomes
• Oversee regular reporting against revenue risks and monitor compliance reports to ensure alignment with QRO's objectives.
• Prepare comprehensive and clear reports and briefing notes that offer insights and solution focussed recommendations to leaders, senior management and risk owners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across the organisation, collaboratively supporting risk owners and staff to use the established practices, procedures and tools to support risk based revenue management
• Coach the team to continuously improve, monitor and analyse current systems, practices and procedures which are progressive and mitigate/control risk.
You will be supported by a positive, constructive team and divisional leaders as you do your work.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
• Experience in leading and managing the development of a risk management framework and implementation of practices and processes.
• High level negotiation, consulting and interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive and productive working relationships with staff at all levels within the organisation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
