Senior Policy Officer


Fortitude Valley

Corruption Prevention and Engagement is one of four units within the CCC’s Corruption Division. It is responsible for providing insights into emerging corruption risks and threats; monitoring the way public sector entities deal with and investigate complaints about corruption; and helping Queensland public sector agencies prevent corruption through the delivery of prevention initiatives and relevant information. The unit has a strong focus on embedding a data and insight driven approach into practice and strategic corruption prevention and stakeholder engagement activities. The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the development of strategic policy advice and lead projects to support enhanced corruption prevention activities across the public sector.

About you 

The ideal applicant will demonstrate capability in the following requirements: 

  • Ability to provide high level strategic and authoritative policy advice and solutions on complex public policy issues relevant to the CCC informed by research and analysis of relevant qualitative and quantitative data and information.
  • Ability to evaluate policy options and support the development of new policies and processes that align with agency objectives, government legislation and community expectations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects, achieving project outcomes, and balancing multiple tasks within tight timeframes, including the development and management of methodologies to achieve project outcomes and implement organisational change.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships to achieve policy outcomes, including experience liaising, consulting and negotiating effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders on complex and sensitive issues.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate the ability to present complex information concisely to a variety of audiences, including preparing reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations and policies.
