In this role you will:
- Manage the Senior Risk and Compliance Officer position including performance management and feedback, development, recruitment, and other human resource activities.
- Lead, maintain and manage the ongoing development of the LAQ ERMF including undertaking risk assessments, maintaining risk registers and coordinating reporting on strategic, operational and organisational risks and controls to the executive leadership team, Finance and Governance Committee, Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee and the LAQ Board.
- Develop and maintain the strategic risks register in line with the ERMF and Board-approved risk appetite and collaborate with service delivery areas to identify risks and ensure operational risk registers are developed and risks are being managed.
- Provide specialist advice and analysis to senior leaders to influence and operationalise the organisation's risk strategy and appetite.
- Develop, organise and deliver training on managing risk, developing risk registers and risk reporting, including risk metrics.
You will have:
- Experience in risk management particularly in the application of risk management tools, strategies and frameworks.
- Knowledge of corporate governance and risk frameworks and processes, consistent with Australia/New Zealand (AS/NZ) and International (ISO) standards and have conceptual, analytical and research skills including the ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and procedures.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills and can write in a clear, concise and articulate manner. You also work independently and as part of a team, plan ahead, monitor task progress and meet deadlines.
