An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse to join the Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) to lead and deliver advanced, person-centred care. With at least 5 years of emergency nursing experience, the Clinical Nurse will coordinate teams, act as the shift point of contact, and support patient and staff safety. This role requires autonomous practice, leadership in clinical decision-making, and mentoring of junior staff. You'll manage a clinical portfolio, contribute to service KPIs, and support policy and education initiatives. Proficiency in both adult and paediatric care is essential. Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being understand to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – State 2015 – Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 6, Band 1 and the Queensland Public Service values.
- Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and ethical behaviour.
Remuneration value up to $131,900 p.a., comprising salary between $107,960 - $115,604 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $54.44 - $58.30 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1) (full time or part time position available).
