Key duties include:
- Identifying Grant Opportunities
- Research and evaluate potential funding sources (government, foundations, corporations).
- Monitors grant databases and newsletters for new opportunities.
- Writing and Submitting Proposals
- Drafts compelling, tailored grant proposals and letters of inquiry.
- Ensures proposals align with funder guidelines and organizational goals.
- Submits applications on time, following all formatting and submission requirements.
- Budget Development
- Collaborates with Exhibitions Management and program staff to create accurate, funder-compliant budgets.
- Justifies budget items clearly within the proposal narrative.
- Managing Grant Timelines and Records
- Tracks deadlines, submission dates, and reporting requirements.
- Maintains organized records of past and current proposals, funder communications, and outcomes.
- Reporting and Stewardship
- Prepares interim and final grant reports detailing outcomes, metrics, and financials.
- Maintains relationships with funders through updates and acknowledgments.
- Collaboration and Internal Communication
- Works with program managers, leadership, and finance teams to gather necessary information.
- Communicates grant goals and expectations to relevant staff.
