We're excited to welcome an Advanced Clinical Assistant to our Acute Restorative Care Service. This unit provides timely patient-centred interprofessional care for older persons who are cognitively or physically frail across the continuum from acute to subacute and restorative care.
As a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, this CA4 role contributes to total patient management by providing advanced clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists or social workers

Key Responsibilities include:
- The role of Advanced Clinical Assistant is a delegated position which usually works under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional. Clinical Assistants report to their supervising Allied Health Professional on an ongoing basis and the Allied Health Professional remains responsible for clinical decision making, treatment planning and evaluation.
- Provide a defined range of specialised clinical screening assessments for patients with complex needs, as delegated and allowed by testing guidelines and legislation.
- Provide a defined range of treatments for patients with complex conditions, including using decision support tools, clinical pathways, and patient guidelines.
Remuneration value up to $37 125 p.a., comprising salary rates $38.36- $41.02 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (CA4) (part time position, 60.8 hrs p.f.).
