Therapy Assistant Trans Rehab Program
Princess Alexandra Hospital, Woolloongabba
Transitional Rehabilitation Program (TRP) and Spinal Outreach team (SPOT) are looking for Therapy Assistant to join their team. The Transitional Rehabilitation Program (TRP) is a community-based rehabilitation team that provides specialist rehabilitation and transition support to people with new spinal cord injuries (SCI) immediately after discharge from hospital. While most TRP patients are referred directly from the Spinal Injuries Unit, Princess Alexandra Hospital, patients may also be referred from non-specialist rehabilitation services and acute hospital wards across Queensland.

About the Role
- Prepare and /or implement individual or group treatment programs for patients under the supervision and direction of the therapists and report on patient performance as required.
- Support person centred care approaches inclusive of patients' psychological, social, emotional, spiritual and physical care needs.
- Report any adverse circumstances with respect to facilities, equipment and people safety and implement remedial action as directed.
- Maintain responsibility for personal and professional development by participating in supervision, training and development activities, supervision and performance reviews and appraisals.
- Provide a range of individual patient interventions as delegated by the AHP and work under the direction of AHPs. The AHP determines tasks the AHA is competent to perform.
