About the Role

As the Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage and coordinate high-quality advice and support from the Special Education and Early Childhood Development Programs for Boulia, Dajarra, Townview and Urandangi State Schools.
  • Lead and manage these programs, providing advice to classroom teachers for students with disabilities as needed.
  • Offer high-quality advice to school leadership and staff to plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities.
  • Coordinate and provide targeted teaching for students needing intervention.
  • Provide and coordinate case management for students requiring significant adjustments.
  • Support staff in accessing specialist services and professional development.

About You

You'll be providing support to small schools based in Boulia, Dajarra and Urandagi State Schools who have Kindy programs and will need to have a Blue Card Exemption card.
