The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Data Scientist to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Design and run data science experiments to address care delivery challenges and explore Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence solutions
- Deliver and embed analytics into business processes for value realisation
- Research Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service data and systems to understand business problems and define requirements
- Prepare data for analysis through cleansing, mining, and feature generation
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded
- While not mandatory, experience working in the health domain, especially with clinical data will be highly regarded
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (12 months with possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $150 906 - $159 677 per annum
