About Lowood State High School
Lowood State High School is a large rural Queensland school educating students from Year 7 through to Year 12. The school was established in 1983 and is located 32 km north-west of Ipswich. Our students' primary school experiences range from one teacher schools to large primary schools. A large percentage of our student population travel to school by bus.

About the Role
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting students in a vertical structure (Years 7-12) - Locally known as ‘House Dean' role.
- Leading the Social and Emotional curriculum at Year Levels.
- Working within a team of House Deans.
- Case management of tier 2 and 2 students.
- Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes and attendance in schools where a significant percentage of students may have a disadvantaged background, ensuring quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Where requested, prepare all data returns for the Principal.
- Provide management and engagement strategies including induction activities of new arrivals, and advise on specific academic, social and emotional needs of new arrivals.
