For this role we are looking for strengths in:

Your responsibilities:
• Assist and engage in the promotion of regional businesses, initiatives, and departmental service offerings to support regional economic growth and supply chain development.
• Assist and engage in the coordination and delivery of departmental programs, industry initiatives, workshops, industry events.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and other government agencies to support the delivery of regional outcomes.
• Facilitate connections across government and non-government agencies to progress regional projects in the renewable energy sector.
• Support regional leadership and capacity building to deliver on economic priorities of regional communities including the Local Economic Opportunities Network.
• Identify opportunities and contribute positively to team activities including project planning and implementation.

Your team:
The State Development regional teams across Queensland coordinate the delivery of initiatives such as departmental programs and workshops, to link industry and regional business and grow regional supply chains and productivity. The regional teams engage with regional stakeholders and works with regional economic development partners to support and advocate for the strategic delivery of regional economic priorities. They lead place-based developments, economic and industry strategies and support state and local governments in responses to adverse events.
