Senior Project Officer - Ingham State High School

Ingham State High School are seeking applications for a temporary full-time Senior Project Officer to join their school community until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.

While this position is based at Ingham State High School, it will be primarily working across the Ingham cluster of schools and travel will be required.

This temporary Senior Project Officer role has been created to assist schools in the Hinchinbrook area maintain mandatory system information, provide training in the department's systems and supervision of departmental staff associated with the project.

About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • You will partner closely with schools in the area to provide on the ground support and guide the administration teams by providing accurate and timely advice on workplace health and safety matters, graduated return to work procedures and build capability in these areas.
  • You will be coordinating and supervising recovery project timetabling to enable an efficient time management plan within the project.
  • Knowledge of the Department's systems - MyHR (particularly WHS), One School, SBS and chemical management procedures is required.

Workplace Health & Safety (WHS):

  • Monitor and support WHS follow-up actions across all schools. Ensure compliance, timely resolution of identified issues, and consistent documentation practices.

Graduated Return to Work Programs:

  • Coordinate return-to-work processes with staff and principals, in collaboration with regional HR and WHS.

Business Manager Relief and Support:

  • Provide in person (preferable) relief for current Business Managers to ensure uninterrupted operations, supporting day-to-day administrative workflows during absences or high workload periods.
  • While this position is based at Ingham State High School, it will be primarily working across the Ingham cluster of schools and travel will be required.
