Are you passionate about driving workforce engagement, capability development and cultural change? Queensland Treasury's People and Culture team is seeking a motivated and experienced Principal HR Advisor to lead strategic HR projects that support a diverse, capable, flexible, and engaged workforce.

In this role, you will work on high-impact initiatives aligned with Treasury's Strategic Workforce Plan and one of your key responsibilities initially will be to lead the implementation of the annual employee engagement survey in Treasury (Working for Queensland). You will collaborate with leaders across the organisation to deliver innovative and evidence-based solutions that enhance Treasury's workplace culture and performance.

In this role, you will:
• Develop and deliver strategic HR programs and projects in areas such as employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and leadership development.
• Prepare whole-of-government and internal reporting on workforce issues, while delivering projects and initiatives that align with organisational priorities.
• Partner with organisational leaders and other People and Culture teams to embed cultural and organisational change.
• Provide expert advice and prepare briefing notes, reports, and strategic messaging to engage and inform stakeholders at all levels.
• Identify opportunities for improvement, design intervention strategies and implement innovative solutions, including leveraging AI and digital tools.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering their professional development through coaching and feedback.

What experience you will bring:
• Proven ability to design, implement, and deliver strategic HR projects, such as staff engagement surveys, achieving measurable outcomes.
• Experience or aptitude in identifying opportunities for AI and digital solutions to enhance HR processes and embed innovative practices.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret workforce data, identify trends, and provide evidence-based insights to inform HR strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders.
• Experience in leading or supporting organisational and cultural change initiatives.
• Understanding and application of diversity and inclusion principles in HR program design and delivery.

Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
