Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Coordinate the management of technical surveillance equipment and fixed assets including asset register maintenance, allocation and maintenance, annual stocktake and advice to senior management regarding the acquisition and regulatory disposal of equipment.
- Coordinate the acquisition and procurement of assets, including liaison and negotiation with suppliers regarding supply, delivery and payment terms and conditions to maximise cost effective procurement.
- Supervise and direct the Store Manager and monitor performance.
- Supervise and coordinate workflows and processes and contribute to the development of improved practices and workflows.
- Prepare reports and submissions relating to asset management to inform senior management of emerging issues.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and stakeholders in relation to the management and ongoing maintenance of equipment and assets to ensure serviceability and availability.
- Coordinate regular inspections and audits in compliance with Queensland Police Service asset management policies and procedures and workplace health and safety legislation.
- Coordinate internal projects to ensure the delivery of timely and quality client services.
- Undertake finance and asset management tasks in accordance with the Financial Management Practices Manual (FMPM) including processing accounts payable and preparation of general-purpose expenditure vouchers (GPEV)
Role Requirements
Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience
Desirable:
Proficiency in computer system applications and databases relating to asset management.
A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in asset management and procurement.
Knowledge and ability in the use of electronic surveillance device equipment and contemporary electronic principles and practices as they relate to technical surveillance equipment and capabilities is highly regarded.
Mechanical/electrical trade knowledge.
