The Roadmap identifies significant individual, as well as organisational priority areas for the department to reframe its relationship with First Nations peoples.
As a Senior Program Officer, you will:
• Develop and manage key initiatives to support the effective delivery of cultural change processes based on cultural insight and evidence-based research.
• Consult with internal and external stakeholders to support the development and implementation of the Reframing the Relationship Roadmap, Action Plan and associated key initiatives.
• Prepare a range of written material including cabinet submissions, executive correspondence, briefing material, speech notes and information papers relating to a Reframed Relationship between the department and Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• Support internal governance mechanisms including the First Nations Council, the Reframing the Relationship and Truth-telling and Healing Working Groups in the oversight of the Reframing the Relationship Roadmap and associated Action Plan.
• Actively practicing and promoting cultural change processes to business units and regional offices to enhance their capacity to identify opportunities to create a Reframed Relationship.
• Develop and deliver departmental training imperatives such as Cultural Safety and Cultural Capability and other activities as directed by the Manager, Reframing the Relationship.
