You will contribute to the research, development, evaluation and support of the facilitation of operational skills training for recruit and in-service participants.
The operational skills training curriculum aims to equip Recruits and In-service program participants with the ability to function as a sworn member of the Queensland Police Service and to build organisational capability.

Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Evaluate QPS programs and initiatives and consult with other areas of the QPS on evaluation practices, methods, and approaches.
• Monitor and review policing practices, strategies and initiatives at state, national and international levels and provide advice on their efficiency, effectiveness, and applicability to the QPS.
• Undertake research into external and internal issues affecting the QPS.
• Provide well-researched, soundly based, and defensible advice to senior management to senior management through preparation of high-level advice, reports, submissions and briefing notes.
• Develop and maintain effective networks and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and agencies to deliver positive outcomes for the QPS.
• Provide assistance to other areas of the Service as required.
Role Requirements:
Qualification -
• While there are no mandatory qualifications required for this role, possession of a relevant degree level qualification with a significant focus on research and/or evaluation would be considered favourably.
Other -
• Some inter and intrastate travel may be required for short periods.
