Community Recovery is the lead agency for the provision of human and social recovery support to Queenslanders impacted by disasters including the provision of personal financial support, emotional support and recovery activities.
The Long-Term Recovery and Resilience team (LTRR) establishes and manages long-term recovery and resilience programs to support communities affected by disaster events.

In this role, you will provide direct support to the Procurement and Grants Management team through effective business support functions. You will assist with the grant application process, including arranging assessment panels and providing relevant secretariat support. You will provide advice and high-quality customer service, support and assistance to grant applicants and recipients on contract
processes, funding requirements and effective service delivery requirements, including supporting the delivery of industry briefings. You will provide administrative support towards procurement processes including developing templates and/or procurement documentation. You will develop and maintain records, trackers and reports and respond to external stakeholder queries in relation to funding applications and contract progression.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in grants administration or program support. You will be detailed oriented and have advanced communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills as you will be the point of contact for grant applicants and recipients. You will have a high level of critical analysis and problemsolving skills with the ability to escalate issues. Experience in end-to-end contract management and the establishment of contract management plans (preferably human and social service contracts in the public sector) is desirable. Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the Queensland Government legislation, policies, procedures and legislation and frameworks as it relates to contract management, procurement and grants administration is desirable. Experience with procurement and grant management processes and systems is desirable.
This is a fixed term full time position (1-2 vacancies) with potential for extension.
