As Principal Advisor, Education & Return to Work Services, you will lead the development and delivery of education and strategic initiatives that improve return to work outcomes across the state’s workers’ compensation scheme. You’ll work closely with scheme stakeholders—including insurers, employers, health professionals, and rehabilitation professionals—to design evidence-informed programs that make a lasting impact.

You will join a high-performing, supportive team within the Education, Insurer and Tribunal Services directorate, where your work will directly contribute to monitoring insurer performance, supporting scheme doctors, and promoting education and awareness across the sector.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing expert advice on rehabilitation and return to work matters.
- Designing and implementing education initiatives and resources for diverse audiences.
- Reviewing training courses, workplace rehab programs, and insurer practices.
- Leading business improvement and compliance projects.
- Representing WCRS at key stakeholder events, forums and working groups.

What we're looking for:
We're seeking a strategic thinker with practical return to work experience who can communicate with impact, build relationships, and lead meaningful change. You will also bring:
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation and return to work practices.
- High-level writing, presentation and advisory skills.
- Experience coordinating complex projects and balancing competing priorities.
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing collaboratively to a small and passionate team.
While not mandatory, qualifications in health sciences or at least three years' experience in workers' compensation, accident insurance, or rehabilitation are highly desirable.
