Smithfield State High School have a part-time AO2 position available, commencing Term 3 2025 until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined. This role is offered at 0.76 FTE and 55 hours per fortnight.

The position works to support the day-to-day operations of our Inclusion Department.

Responsibilities

The preferred candidate will work within the Inclusion Department to:

  • Be the first point of contact for all Inclusion Department enquiries (phone calls and emails)
  • Provide confidential administrative support to the Deputy Principal - Inclusion
  • Assist in the organisation of Inclusion Department staff.
  • Assist in the daily coordination of our Inclusion Department Teacher Aides.
  • Student data entry.
  • Organise meetings relevant to Inclusion Department, including case management meetings with Inclusion Department teachers and parents.
  • Manage Inclusion Department office supplies.
  • Assist in word processing, excel spreadsheets, and support the organisation of Inclusion Department teachers, for example, excursion letters.
  • Promote and contribute to the direction of the Inclusion Department.
  • Other suitable duties consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position.

About You

  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and can build strong working relationships and rapport with a diverse range of people.
  • Strong interpersonal and “customer service” skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Displays confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to staff, students and families and has the ability to work with minimum supervision to meet deadlines
  • Experience in OneSchool and IDAttend will be highly regarded.
