About the work unit / facility
The Townsville Oral Health Service provides services for eligible child and adult patients with complex medical and/or oral health conditions, including dental treatment under general anaesthesia, head and neck cancer services, pre-cardiac surgery patient's, orthodontic services, nursing home services and special needs services as well as the community of refugees in Townsville.

- Salary range: $127,801 to $149,499 p.a. (DO1.1 – DO1.3)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
- 10% Rural and Remote Incentive allowance
Requirements:
- Appointment to this position requires possession of a tertiary qualification in dentistry from a recognised institution and current registration with the Dental Board of Australia.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current annual license certificate.
- There is a requirement that all dental practitioners are credentialed and have their scope of clinical practice defined with Qld Health before commencing employment and throughout employment with Qld Health.
- Licence to Operate Vehicle: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided before commencement
- Travel: Please note, from time-to-time this position will be required to travel to, and work at, other facilities located within the Townsville Oral Health Service.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
