We are looking for a HR Systems and Project Director who will play a critical role in driving Queensland Health’s workforce digital transformation. Your leadership will shape how HR systems are experienced by thousands of employees and how data informs strategic decision-making.

This role will lead a portfolio of projects focused on enhancing employee experience, streamlining HR processes, and enabling data-driven workforce decisions. The Director will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders - including ICT, eHealth, and workforce leaders—to ensure digital HR solutions are effectively scoped, delivered, and embedded into business operations.

About you
We are searching for someone who:

  • Proven ability to lead strategic HR system and data projects that enhance employee experience and operational effectiveness.
  • Deep understanding of HR functions, digital systems, and workforce analytics, including the application of user-centred design and engagement principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex, cross-functional projects within large public or health sector environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across clinical, technical, and executive audiences.
  • High-level analytical, planning, and reporting skills, including the preparation of business cases, strategic documents, and performance reports.
  • Experience managing vendor and contractor relationships related to digital HR systems, with a focus on user outcomes and performance quality.
  • Familiarity with Queensland Health's HR and digital systems, data governance frameworks, and eHealth strategies is highly desirable.
