Clinical Information Services is responsible for the management of clinical information across Townsville Hospital and Health Service. Areas of responsibility include Clinical Coding, Medical Records, Release of Information, Data Quality, 7 Day Service, Information Management, and Information Privacy.

- Salary range: $2950.00 to $3280.70 p.a. (AO3)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Coder Trainee to join the Clinical Coding team at Townsville Hospital and Health Service. This position is an entry level position within the clinical coding field and will suit applicants who have completed, a recognised ICD-10-AM Clinical Coding course.
The successful applicant will gain a thorough working knowledge of clinical coding through on the job training and mentoring by experienced Clinical Coders. The goal of this position is for the Trainee to gain skills required to progress to become a competent Clinical Coder.
