Your contribution:
• Manage and lead specific Native Title Act 1993, Section 47C agreement making negotiations incorporating First Nations and Departmental perspectives including people, community, Country and co-stewardship principles.
• Manage and lead projects and teams including monitoring, evaluating and reporting on progress in relation to management of Native Title Act 1993, Section 47C agreements,
business planning, budget monitoring, and compliance with legislated obligations and statutory requirements.
• Prepare and/or coordinate briefing notes, program plans, submissions, reports and correspondence associated with the program.
• Develop and maintain highly collaborative relationships with First Nations people, community, special interest groups, and other agencies to underpin the success of the agreement making negotiations.
• Provide specialist advice to stakeholders both internal and external-to-Government regarding Native Title Act 1993, Section 47C agreement making including policy support and
interpretation of relevant legislation and related departmental policies, practices and processes.

About you
• Demonstrated experience leading and negotiation agreements with First Nations people and Stakeholders that incorporate First Nations people rights and that are balanced against Government priorities and legislation
• Demonstrated working knowledge of the Native Title Act 1993 specifically Section 47C, Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003 and any relevant legislation and policy addressing the rights and aspirations of First Nations people.
• Strong project management methodologies, principles and practices, including an ability to effectively manage multiple projects and the financial and human resources to deliver project outcomes.
• High level communication skills with expertise in explaining complex information in culturally proficient ways and the demonstrated ability to liaise, negotiate and collaborate with First Nations people.
