Psychologist - Medical Education Unit

The Medical Education Unit are looking for a psychologist to join their team. The Medical Education Unit (MEU) at the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive medical education program and support structure for prevocational doctors (post graduate years 1-3). The Unit has a key role in ensuring that the education and training of prevocational medical officers meets the standards set by the Medical Board of Australia.

About the Role
- Initiate, design and review the delivery of health promotion and psycho-education strategies across the organisation in collaboration with the existing occupational health and wellbeing services.
- Provide high level advice and prepare complex and sensitive reports, briefings, policy papers, submissions and other documentation as required to senior departmental management and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide high quality coaching and mentoring to prevocational doctors and their supervisors as aligned to the technical expertise of this position.
- Contribute to the professional body of knowledge through research publication in peer review journals, and/or the delivery of research, and/or evidenced based practice project outcomes at professional conferences.
- Advise senior management, and other relevant stakeholders, on medical workforce psychology and performance needs and initiatives with the aim to assist with the quality management and strategic development of the service.
