About us:

The Education and Research Unit provides Nursing and Midwifery education, professional practice development services and Clinical Practice Improvement initiatives for Nursing and Midwifery staff, to facilitate the achievement of best practice health service delivery requirements. The Education and Research Unit is led by the Nursing Director of Education and Research. The Nurse Educators, Midwifery Educators, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Clinical Placement Coordinator, Clinical Facilitators, Student Facilitators, Transfusion Nurse and Librarians and Administration Officers report to the Nursing Director of Education. Nurse Educators in Gladstone, Emerald, Aged Care and Mental Health have professional links with the Education and Research Unit.

About the role:

The Coordinator Education Administration (Governance and eLearning) functions within a team-based model of education service delivery and is involved with the governance, planning, development, evaluation and reporting of education. The coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that efficient and effective education services are supported by the provision of high-quality procedural documents, e-learning resources, and a comprehensive and accessible web site. The coordinator is expected to demonstrate an advanced level of autonomous professional practice and decision making in collaboration with the Education and Research members.

About you:

  • While not mandatory, a relevant qualification, training, or experience in creating eLearning courses in a Learning Management System program, web design and filming, and editing clinical instructional eLearning videos would be well regarded.
  • Expertise in designing and developing innovative, engaging, and effective educational eLearning with interactive design principles.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining online educational materials (e.g., QHEPS, websites, or Learning Management Systems) within a technology-based delivery framework.
  • Strong ability to manage challenging administrative projects and perform general administrative functions.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $114,177 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $45.81 – 50.46 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
